Mona Neubaur was born on 1 July 1977 in Pöttmes, Bavaria. On 30 June 2022, she was appointed Deputy Premier and Minister for Economic Affairs, Industry, Climate Action and Energy of the State of North Rhine Westphalia.

2003 – 2007: Public relations manager with green electricity supplier, Naturstrom AG

2010 – 2014: Heinrich Böll Foundation NRW, management
2014 – 2022: Chair of the North Rhine-Westphalia state branch of the Green Party, DIE GRÜNEN
Since 15 May 2022: Member of the NRW state parliament
